Mile 2 · The switchbacks

The path so far

I’m a senior front-end developer at Reingold, where I partner with designers to ship polished, responsive, accessible interfaces for clients like the NFL, NBA, Veterans Affairs, HHS, and WMATA. I build and maintain component libraries in Storybook and PatternLab, with Chromatic visual regression keeping every client design system honest.

Every project I touch starts with accessibility. I’ve audited and remediated VA Telehealth, VA Connected Care, and VA Mobile for WCAG and Section 508 compliance, and I build on semantic HTML and keyboard support from the first line of code instead of bolting them on at the end.

On the side I ship full-stack experiments on Vercel and Supabase, mentor new front-end developers, and fold AI-assisted development with Claude Code into my daily workflow. This site is one of those experiments: the repo is open, go read the source.

Side Projects

Nights and weekends, shipped end to end

Self-initiated builds and freelance collaborations, designed, deployed, and maintained on the same Vercel + Supabase stack as this site.

  • Shade Showdown: a Keep/Trade/Cut-style color ranking game with a from-scratch Supabase schema and ranking logic, deployed on Vercel with CI from GitHub.
  • Bento Disco: a Keep/Trade/Cut voting app for ranking clinical-trial biosampling tools, built for Bento Biology on the Shade Showdown template.
  • Bento Flare: shaped the user flow and UI/UX of a lupus symptom-diary app from the first planning session, then drove most of the front-end development.
  • The Bevy: built much of a Denver fine-jewelry retailer’s e-commerce site on a custom Shopify interface, mentoring another developer along the way.
  • Palate: a concept for an AI menu assistant that recommends dishes around your preferences, dietary restrictions, and allergies.
  • Big Italian Wedding: an interactive itinerary app for our own eleven-day, three-city wedding trip in Italy, with shared guest events.
  • Next.js
  • Supabase
  • Vercel
  • Shopify

Remote AI Coding Interface

A voice-driven remote interface for Claude Code: hands-free AI pair programming from any device, over a private network. Decommissioned once Claude Dispatch launched with much the same capability.

  • Built a secure Node/Express bridge to Claude Code over Tailscale.
  • Wired browser speech recognition (Web Speech API) into the agent loop.
  • Designed a custom glassmorphism control UI.
